NationalParkCampsites.co.uk has been launched in August 2009 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the National Parks in the UK.

The UK Government on passing the 1949 National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act declared  'for the first time in English history an Act has been passed by parliament with the object of setting out in a workable form a comprehensive charter of rights for all lovers of the open air'. Campsite DirectoryNational Park Campsites.co.uk is part of a growing network of camping and holiday related websites the lead site is Campsite Directory which was launched in 2006 and now receives in excess of 1,000 visitors a day. The directory lists over 2000 campsites and touring sites throughout the United Kingdom and also has a directory of over 750 camping shops and retailers and a directory of over 500 days out and places to visit in the UK. The directory or is easily searchable by town, county, region or other words of your choice.

National Park Campsites was launched in August 2009 in celebration of the 60th anniversary (1949-2009) of the introduction of National Parks to the UK. National Parks in the UK protect some of Britain's fantastic natural habitat and wildlife and make visiting the parks easy for members of the public in the UK. National Parks are maintained and controlled by the National Parks Authorities in the UK.

We are an independent website and no associated to or part of the National Park Authorities operated in the UK. 

Our network of sites now includes www.CampingNews.co.uk where camping business and campsites can announced their latest news to keep the camping and caravanning community up to date.

Users of our websites are free to post Camping Classified ads on our www.CampingAdverts.co.uk website totally free for private (non trade) ads. Ads are search engine friendly and can include up to five photos.

We have in 2009 launched dedicated websites for the regions of the UK including www.CampsitesinEngland.co.uk dedicated to English campsites, www.CampsitesinWales.co.uk dedicated to campsites in Wales. www.CampsitesinScotland.co.uk for Scottish campsites and www.CampsitesinIreland.co.uk for Irish campsites both in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. These region websites are currently in various stages of development but will be expanding over the coming camping seasons.

Apart from listing great sites centrally on our main Campsite Directory website, regionally on our regional campsites websites we also developing a number of other websites.

A popular location for camping in the UK apart from in National Parks is on the coast and near the sea. for 2009 we have also launched www.CoastalCampsites.co.uk where we will be listing campsites and touring parks with sea views or close to the UK coast.

There are a number of campsites in the UK that only accept adults. These sites are aimed at adults looking for a quiet tranquil and peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle or more family oriented campsites. Some of the campsites in the National Parks are adult only and on National Park Campsites we state if listed sites are adults only. We have also launched a new website dedicated to Adult Only Campsites on www.AdultOnlyCampsites.co.uk so if your kids are grown up or you would just like a campsite away from the hustle and bustle this site will be just for you.
